The advent of Industry ۵.۰ has introduced a new paradigm in manufacturing, emphasizing human-machine collaboration, sustainability, and energy efficiency. This paper presents a comprehensive review of energy consumption optimization in Industry ۵.۰ manufacturing systems by leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) and green optimization algorithms. IoT enables real-time monitoring and data collection, while advanced optimization techniques such as genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization, and machine learning-based approaches contribute to minimizing energy usage without compromising productivity. The study explores various strategies for integrating IoT with green algorithms, evaluates their effectiveness, and discusses challenges and future directions. The findings suggest that a synergistic approach combining IoT-driven data analytics and intelligent optimization can significantly reduce energy consumption in smart manufacturing environments.
