Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) have emerged as one of the most versatile and powerful types of digital hardware in modern electronics. Unlike traditional ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits), FPGAs offer reconfigurability, making them ideal for prototyping, custom hardware acceleration, and applications that demand adaptability. Their ability to be reprogrammed in the field enables engineers to iterate designs quickly, reduce development time, and lower risk in complex systems. This article explores the fundamentals of FPGA circuits, their architecture, applications, advantages, and their evolving role in future technologies.
