چکیده مقاله:

potential to influence cognitive function through its non-thermal generation of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS). This narrative review synthesizes recent advances in understanding CAP’s biological mechanisms, including modulation of oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and activation of key intracellular signaling pathways such as Trk/Ras/ERK, which are critical for neuroplasticity and cognitive resilience. The evolution of CAP research is traced from its origins in plasma physics to its expanding applications in neurotherapeutics, highlighting milestones demonstrating CAP’s effects on neural stem cell differentiation and synaptic plasticity. Current trends emphasize CAP’s neuroprotective properties and the integration of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence to optimize treatment efficacy. Despite promising findings, critical gaps remain, including the lack of standardized plasma generation protocols, variability in experimental models, and limited long-term cognitive outcome data. Addressing these challenges is essential to translate CAP into effective clinical interventions for cognitive impairments associated with aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Overall, CAP represents a promising frontier in cognitive health research, with ongoing studies needed to refine its therapeutic applications and ensure safety and efficacy.
