چکیده مقاله:

High-impact and contact sports such as football, basketball, and martial arts subject athletes to intense physical stress, leading to joint degeneration, muscle stiffness, and soft tissue injuries. To meet the growing nutritional needs of such athletes, innovative hydrolyzed collagen supplements have emerged as a promising solution. Hydrolyzed collagen—a bioactive form derived from enzymatic hydrolysis—offers unique benefits due to its high bioavailability and its rich amino acid profile, including glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. This article aims to comprehensively explore the role of hydrolyzed collagen in promoting joint health and improving muscle flexibility among athletes engaging in high-stress physical activities. Key mechanisms, such as collagen’s ability to stimulate fibroblast activity, enhance cartilage production, and repair connective tissue micro-damage, will be analyzed in detail. Research has demonstrated that regular supplementation with hydrolyzed collagen reduces joint pain during exercise, prevents cartilage degradation, and alleviates symptoms of osteoarthritis. In addition to its effects on joint health, collagen plays a critical role in improving flexibility, providing tensile strength to tendons and ligaments, and enhancing overall muscle functionality. The synergistic effects of hydrolyzed collagen with co-nutrients like vitamin C and hyaluronic acid further amplify its impact on tissue repair and hydration. Evidence from clinical trials highlights that doses ranging from ۵–۱۰ g/day of collagen peptides have been effective in mitigating sport-induced tissue strain and accelerating recovery after training. By supporting joint integrity and muscle elasticity, supplementation may prevent chronic injuries, such as tendinitis or ligament tears, that are common in contact sports. Despite its promising benefits, hydrolyzed collagen raises questions regarding bioavailability variability, long-term safety, and ethical concerns for vegan or vegetarian athletes. The goal of this article is to address these limitations and suggest pathways for future research, including sustainable and personalized collagen-based products tailored to the nutritional needs of athletes. Innovative hydrolyzed collagen supplements not only aid in injury prevention but also contribute to enhanced athletic performance metrics like agility, endurance, and recovery rate. As sports science advances and the demand for targeted nutrition solutions grows, hydrolyzed collagen stands out as a vital component in optimizing performance and preserving athlete health. Expanding multidisciplinary research on collagen’s broader applications in athletic performance and recovery remains essential for maximizing its
