چکیده مقاله:
This study presents an integrated method for evaluating the contribution of reservoir zones in oil and gas wells using temperature log interpretation alongside conventional Production Logging Tool (PLT) data. In unstable flow conditions—such as low-velocity, multiphase, or gas-lifted wells—spinner-based measurements are often unreliable. By comparing recorded temperature profiles to the theoretical geothermal gradient, thermal anomalies can be identified and interpreted to estimate relative inflow per zone. This method offers a robust alternative when conventional tools are inconclusive and is compatible with both traditional temperature logging and modern Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) systems. A field case is presented using real operational data to demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach, highlighting how thermal interpretation can complement PLT diagnostics and improve zonal flow allocation. The results confirm the method’s applicability in complex well environments, providing reliable insights for reservoir surveillance and production optimization.
