چکیده مقاله:

Color is a fundamental element that influences human perception, emotion, and behavior. Over the decades, psychology has devoted significant attention to exploring how various hues impact mental states and psychological processes. Recent studies indicate that colors such as blue and green are commonly associated with feelings of calmness and well-being, while warmer colors like red and yellow tend to evoke excitement, alertness, or even agitation (Elliot & Maier, ۲۰۱۴; Kaya & Epps, ۲۰۲۳). Colors can affect cognitive performance, decision-making, and even physiological responses such as heart rate and blood pressure. Furthermore, research has shown that cultural background and individual experiences modulate color perception and emotional response (Jonauskaite et al., ۲۰۲۰).The present article systematically examines the psychological effects of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors on human emotions and cognition. Through an integrative literature review and meta-analysis of recent empirical findings, this study seeks to delineate the mechanisms underlying color-emotion associations and highlight their practical applications in psychotherapy, marketing, architecture, and education. The findings underscore the multifaceted role of color in shaping human psychological experience and present recommendations for utilizing color strategically across various domains. Future research directions include investigating the neurobiological basis of color perception and the development of personalized interventions based on individual color profiles.
