چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aims: The conventional drug development process is complex, time-consuming, and costly, relying heavily on trial-and-error methods. The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized this field, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness by integrating AI at all stages of the drug development pipeline. HIV/AIDS remains a significant global health challenge, with Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) being the current standard for long-term viral suppression. However, issues such as drug resistance and toxicity necessitate the discovery of new therapeutic targets and drugs. This study examines the recent advances in AI applications in HIV research and drug development, including viral mechanism analysis, diagnostic innovations, therapeutic strategies, and the discovery of novel drugs. Methods: To investigate the applications of artificial intelligence in the development of new anti-HIV drugs, related articles can be collected and reviewed using searches in scientific databases and research platforms. Results: AI has significantly contributed to early disease diagnosis, understanding HIV mechanisms, and identifying new therapeutic options. Despite challenges such as limited high-quality data and the need for transparent predictive models, AI has shown considerable potential in expediting the discovery of new drugs for HIV treatment. Conclusion: AI technology offers promising advancements in HIV research and drug development, addressing existing limitations in traditional methods. Continued progress and overcoming current challenges could further enhance its impact, paving the way for innovative treatments for HIV/AIDS.
