چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aims: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, with high mortality and disability rates, and is the leading cause of cancer among women. Early diagnosis and treatment of this disease significantly increase the chances of survival. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly advancing, and many people expect these systems to have a significant impact on the diagnosis of breast cancer using ultrasound. The present study aimed to investigate the role of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods: This study is a narrative review conducted using the strategy (OR, AND) in Persian and English databases (Medline, Cochrane, PubMed, Scopus, SID, ISC, Magiran) with a time limitation from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۵, focusing on Persian and English articles. The study was carried out in five stages, including identification and goal setting, resource search, data evaluation, data analysis, and presentation of results, as proposed by Knafl & Whittemore. Results: After applying the inclusion criteria and evaluating the articles, ۲۹ out of ۳۳ articles were finally included in the study. The articles were reviewed independently and simultaneously by the researchers in three stages (title, abstract, and full text), and finally, ۸ studies relevant to the research objectives were selected. The related data indicate that with the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, the diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer have become easier than before. Conclusion: While artificial intelligence promises widespread integration into the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, challenges such as data quality, legal and ethical issues, and algorithm validation are critically important. Addressing these issues is essential to fully realize the potential of AI in improving early diagnosis and patient outcomes in breast cancer management.
