چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aims: Generative artificial intelligence with its unique potential can play an important role in improving the quality of education. This technology can also help researchers in generating research hypotheses, designing experiments and analyzing data. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the training course using generative artificial intelligence for teaching and research for academic staff members of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in ۲۰۲۴. Methods: This before and after intervention study was conducted with the participation of ۳۰ faculty members of Tehran Medical School. Data using a questionnaire consisting of two parts; The first part related to demographic information, the second part related to measuring the knowledge, skills and attitude of the faculty members was collected. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Results: The findings showed that holding this course significantly increased the knowledge of academic staff members in various educational and research fields. And also, this action not only helped to improve the level of education and research of academic staff members, but also could lead to the development of their practical and theoretical skills. Conclusion: In the age of technology, artificial intelligence has created a huge transformation in people's lives, especially in the field of education and research for academic staff members. This research provided a golden opportunity for the application of generative artificial intelligence for teaching faculty members. The training course for academic staff has effectively improved knowledge.
