Application of artificial intelligence in occupational health and occupational safety: a study review

Background and Aims: Artificial intelligence is rapidly expanding and being used for various sciences. The aim of this study was of investigating the Application of artificial intelligence in occupational health and occupational safety. Methods: In this study review, ۳۱ articles published between ۱۹۹۴ and ۲۰۲۳ were used. The purpose of this study was to investigate the application of artificial intelligence in in occupational health and occupational safety and using Google Scholar Science Direct PubMed, ResearchGate, Scopus, and springer databases. Results: Studies on the application of artificial intelligence in occupational health and occupational safety show that artificial intelligence is used in the design of material safety data sheets, assessment of the risk of occupational diseases, assessment of ergonomic posture, simulation and evaluation of various workstations and redesign of workstations, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace, risk assessment and risk assessment of chemicals, prediction of air quality and determination of particle concentrations in the air. Artificial intelligence is also used in early detection and screening of occupational diseases and the risk of occupational diseases in the form of chatbot. Conclusion: The conducted studies show that artificial intelligence has various applications in occupational health and occupational safety and can be used in the design and evaluation of the work environment.
