چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aims: The healthcare landscape is undergoing an innovative transformation by artificial intelligence. These innovations promise to provide more efficient and accurate healthcare. The fields of medical sciences emerged by applying knowledge, empathy, and creativity to diagnose, treat, and care for diseases and use their expertise through training and experience and matching their skills with patients. However the emergence of artificial intelligence changes this paradigm with the ability to analyze huge data that is beyond human capabilities, and this change is associated with a series of ethical challenges, so this study aims to investigate the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence in health care. Methods: The current review was conducted by reviewing original articles in the databases PubMed, Scopus, WOS, and Google Scholar with the keywords "Artificial Intelligence", “Health Care” and "Ethical Issue" until Dec ۲۰۲۴; A total of ۱۲ studies related to the aim of the study were included. Results: The ethical challenges of AI: ۱. Issues of privacy and confidentiality of patient information ۲. Lack of accountability ۳. Lack of transparency and explainability ۴. Challenge of independence/autonomy Patients ۵. Inability to make accurate decisions, and empathic communication in some fields despite the skill of analyzing data and recognizing patterns ۶. Lack of a collaborative approach ۷. Generalizability of results across different health care settings and disparities due to biases in data, such as demographic disparities or organizational changes ۸. Biases based on demographic-Economic ۹. The challenge of informed consent ۱۰. Lack of frameworks and standards for human monitoring ۱۱. Concern Health Care Costs and Insurance Coverage ۱۲. Data Integrity Concerns ۱۳. Technology-Dependent Risks ۱۴. Safety and Effectiveness Concerns. Conclusion: Artificial intelligence will play an important role in the provision of future health services, but they will not replace health providers but will direct their efforts toward job duties using unique human skills such as empathy, and creativity. Therefore, considering the importance and necessity of artificial intelligence in the modern age of healthcare, identifying the ethical challenges of using artificial intelligence will help healthcare professionals in providing patient-centered and ethical care
