چکیده مقاله:

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into healthcare and education sectors has significantly transformed the fields of audiology, speech therapy, and linguistics, addressing crucial communication disorders that affect millions worldwide. Traditional practices in these areas relied heavily on manual assessments and standardized testing; however, AI technologies now facilitate enhanced diagnostic accuracy, personalized treatment, and innovative research methodologies. This review summarizes the current applications of AI across these disciplines, highlighting their impact on educational frameworks, learning outcomes, and research advancements. In audiology, AI-driven tools enhance hearing assessments and the development of personalized hearing aids, promoting early detection and intervention. In speech therapy, technologies such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) offer dynamic assessment and intervention strategies, aiding in better diagnosis and real-time feedback. AI applications in linguistics facilitate personalized language instruction and objective language assessment, contributing to improved educational experiences. Despite the promising potential, the review addresses challenges such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and the need for ethical considerations in AI implementation. The importance of collaborative efforts among AI developers, clinicians, educators, and researchers is emphasized to maximize the benefits of AI while mitigating risks. Continued exploration of innovative methodologies and adherence to ethical practices will ensure that AI enriches the quality of care and education for individuals with communication disorders. This review underscores the transformative potential of AI technologies in communication sciences, calling for future research that prioritizes inclusivity and effectiveness.
