چکیده مقاله:

Urban sprawl, a complex and dynamic phenomenon, has reshaped urban landscapes globally. This study offers a comprehensive seven-dimensional framework to analyze the interconnected drivers and impacts of sprawl. By examining the interplay of spatial, temporal, socio-economic, environmental, cultural, governance, and technological factors, the research highlights how these dimensions collectively contribute to fragmented urban growth patterns. Employing a descriptive-analytical and interpretive qualitative methodology, this study analyzed a wide range of scholarly articles, government reports, and case studies. Drawing on theories of urban geography and environmental planning, the research identified key drivers of sprawl such as population growth, transportation policies, and land use regulations. Findings reveal that sprawl exacerbates social inequalities, environmental degradation, and economic inefficiencies. To address these challenges, the study advocates for integrated policy approaches that promote sustainable urban development. By fostering a holistic understanding of sprawl, this research aims to inform policymakers and urban planners in developing strategies for more equitable, resilient, and sustainable cities.
