چکیده مقاله:

Competency-Based Education (CBE) has gained a lot of attention as a substitute for the age-old learning models with an emphasis on mastery over seat-time. This study examines the impact of CBE on students' motivation and performance in specific for the case of higher education. A quantitative research approach was employed where information was collected from students who were undertaking CBE programs versus students who were undertaking standard curriculum formats. The study examines the effect of personalized learning routes, adaptive pacing, and mastery-based assessments on students' intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and academic performance. The findings reveal that CBE enhances higher levels of motivation and confidence among learners, leading to greater academic success. In addition, the research determines the role of formative testing and skills training in promoting students' long-term knowledge retention and career readiness. The implications of the study point toward the enhancement of student-focused learning and education overall through integrating the principles of CBE within standard education.
