چکیده مقاله:
This article examines the comparative approaches of the European Union and Iran regarding refugee integration policies, with specific focus on Afghan migrants. Through analysis of legislative frameworks, policy implementation mechanisms, and socio-economic outcomes, this research identifies both successful strategies and shortcomings in integration efforts. Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative data, this study reveals that while the EU's formalized integration programs offer robust legal protections, they often fall short in cultural integration. Conversely, Iran's policies, shaped by geographical proximity and historical ties with Afghanistan, demonstrate stronger cultural accommodation but face challenges in providing formal legal protections and economic opportunities. The findings suggest that effective integration requires a comprehensive approach addressing legal status, economic participation, educational access, healthcare provision, and cultural inclusion. This comparative analysis contributes to understanding how regional and historical contexts shape refugee integration outcomes and offers recommendations for policy improvement in both regions.
