چکیده مقاله:
Medical tourism is a very lucrative global industry, with patients traveling across borders to undergo various treatments, particularly infertility treatments. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) are central in managing reproductive health conditions, and as a result, most couples pursue cross-border reproductive care (CBRC). The following essay provides an overview of the development of infertility tourism, with hospital management practices and most significant determinants of patient decision-making, including economic circumstances, legal frameworks, quality of treatment, and secrecy. Although infertility tourism is a very large opportunity, it also has sophisticated ethical and legal challenges. The findings require huge regulations to foster ethical provision of services and enhance sustainable development within the industry. In conducting this systematic review, ۲۹ articles from ۲۰۰۶ to ۲۰۲۲ were reviewed to develop a deeper insight into medical and infertility tourism. Searches were performed in Scopus, Web of Knowledge, and Medline using Boolean operators and the keywords 'hospital management' and 'infertility tourism.' Only English-language, full-text papers containing new and relevant material were selected, and case studies, dissertations, and unpublished studies were not. Quality appraisals were done using the Gifford criteria, COREQ, and PRISMA checklists to narrow the initial pool of ۲۱۰ articles down to the final ۲۹ examined in this Study.
