چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the pivotal role of parents in promoting psychological resilience among children affected by parental divorce. Due to the increasing rate of divorces worldwide, it has become essential to study the emotional and developmental challenges faced by children from divorced parents. Through a mixed-methods study, this research is based on theoretical analysis of international and local literature and empirical findings from a researcher-contracted questionnaire distributed to ۳۰ divorced parents in Isfahan, Iran. The results indicate that authoritative parenting, emotional sensitivity, stability of daily routines, and respectful co-parenting are the attributes that are crucial in the adaptability and resilience of children. These variables facilitate children to cope with stress, maintain their self-esteem, and continue well-adjusted social and academic functioning despite the upheaval brought on by divorce. The results highlight that parental behavior before and after divorce plays a significant role in influencing a child's psychological adjustment. Empathetic communication and caregiving consistency are key to maintaining children and helping them adjust in the long term. The study suggests policy interventions and targeted parental support interventions to mitigate the adverse effects of divorce on children.
