The importance of enhancing spoken fluency in English among EFL learners cannot be overstated, as it significantly impacts communication skills and academic achievement. This study focuses on the effect of gamification on enhancing speaking fluency among Iranian learners. The research addresses the pivotal challenges faced in traditional EFL settings, including limited speaking practice and low student engagement. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, ۴۰ female students aged ۱۳ to ۱۶ participated in this study, who were divided into an experimental group that engaged in gamified instructional activities and a control group that engaged in traditional language teaching. A topic for speaking as a pre-test and a post-test was used to assess participants' speaking fluency. The results indicated that the experimental group demonstrated significantly improved speaking fluency in comparison to the control group, highlighting the effectiveness of gamification in promoting engagement and enhancing language skills. These findings recommend that applying gamified strategies to EFL teaching can facilitate a more motivating and interactive learning environment, ultimately fostering better language proficiency. This research represents innovative pedagogical methods and offers valuable insights for EFL educators seeking to enhance students’ speaking skills.
