Exploring the Landscape of Crowdfunding: Key Trends, Keywords, and Emerging Topics

Crowdfunding has become a pivotal tool for raising capital in diverse sectors, ranging from entrepreneurial ventures to social causes and creative projects. This study employs a bibliometric analysis to explore the key trends and themes surrounding crowdfunding, drawing on a comprehensive set of keywords extracted from the academic literature. Using network analysis and cluster identification, we analyze the relationships between the most frequently occurring keywords and examine how they form distinct clusters, shedding light on the central topics shaping crowdfunding research. The results highlight "crowdfunding" as the core theme, with strong connections to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, fintech, equity crowdfunding, venture capital, blockchain, innovation, and sustainability. The study also utilizes a network visualization to illustrate the interconnectedness of these keywords, providing a clear overview of the crowdfunding ecosystem. This analysis reveals emerging patterns in crowdfunding's intersection with new technologies, investment models, and sustainability efforts, offering insights for scholars, entrepreneurs, and practitioners. The findings suggest that crowdfunding is evolving beyond its traditional role, embracing innovation and technology to cater to a growing demand for sustainable and socially impactful projects.
