چکیده مقاله:
Nano-biochar derived from agricultural waste has emerged as a crucial material for addressing critical challenges in environmental management and agriculture. Compared to traditional biochar, nano-biochar exhibits superior performance across various applications, owing to its enhanced characteristics, such as significantly larger surface area, increased porosity, superior adsorption capacity, and catalytic potential. Furthermore, nano-biochar substantially improves soil fertility by enhancing the adsorption, release, and mobility of nutrients. This advancement enables more effective nutrient utilization, which in turn enhances crop growth and boosts agricultural productivity. Nanobiochar has significant potential to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability, as well as address environmental challenges. Its ability to optimize soil nutrient dynamics, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and adsorb heavy metals makes it a valuable tool for modern agriculture and environmental remediation. However, the utilization of nano-biochar remains in its early stages, and systematic research is needed to address cost-effectiveness, safety, and scalability concerns. Future research should focus on assessing the long-term impacts of nano-biochar on agricultural systems and the environment. Optimizing nano-biochar production, understanding its soil interactions, and evaluating ecological impacts are crucial for sustainable deployment. Systematic research on its behavior and integration into large-scale agriculture is essential for widespread adoption. This study identifies key research needs and presents the current state of knowledge, emphasizing nano-biochar’s advantages over conventional biochar. Nano-biochar holds significant potential to support waste upcycling, sustainable agriculture, and environmental restoration, contributing to the transition towards a circular economy and global sustainability objectives.
