Introduction to the Specialized Technical Committee for International Standards on Anaesthetic and Respiratory Equipment (ISO/TC ۱۲۱) Aimed at Standardizing Safe Equipment

Standards are a practical and safe tool for dealing with many global challenges, a common language of the world for exchanging demands and findings, and also as agreements for economic exchanges. Standards, standardization, and the use of standard equipment in the field of health and treatment, including hospital equipment, especially equipment used in anesthesia, are essential and are mandatory for work safety and protecting patients' lives. Active participation in the development of international standards helps defend the country's interests at the international level and familiarize oneself with the world's current knowledge in that field. The ISO World Organization, whose main task is to develop international standards, is composed of several technical committees, each of which develops and updates international standards in a specific field. In this study, we will get acquainted with the ISO organization and the corresponding technical committee ISO/TC ۱۲۱, entitled Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment, whose task is to develop international standards in the field of anesthesia.
