Prioritization of Reliable Mini-PC Brands for Deployment in Companies: A Case Study of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company

In today’s world, information technology plays a key role in industrial and economic development. Large organizations, especially in urban transportation, need compact, durable, and high-performance computing devices that are cost-effective and easy to manage. This study focuses on selecting the best Mini PC brands for use in the Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Company (Tehran Metro), which operates in challenging environmental conditions. Using the TOPSIS multi-criteria decision-making method, several Mini PC brands were evaluated based on criteria such as durability, ease of maintenance, port variety, processor type, RAM capacity, and cost. The results showed that ASUS was the top choice with a relative closeness of ۰.۵۵۳۱, followed by GEEKOM (۰.۵۰۲۰) and Intel (۰.۵۱۰۸). The findings suggest that using industrial Mini PCs can reduce costs, improve security, and simplify equipment management. This study can also guide other organizations in making informed decisions when selecting computer hardware.
