Fabrication and Characterization of Dental Implant Technology Utilizing Hydroxyapatite (HA) Nanoparticles Composed with Ceramics via Electrophoretic Deposition Technique on Stainless Steel

The field of restorative dentistry has witnessed a significant transformation by introducing dental implant technology, which offers a dependable approach to replacing absent teeth. This research aims to investigate the manufacturing and evaluation processes involved in dental implants made from stainless steel ۳۱۶L as the primary material, with the addition of a hydroxyapatite (HA) coating. The objective is to enhance osseointegration, reduce implant failure rates, and improve inflammation management. Advanced manufacturing techniques were employed to fabricate stainless steel ۳۱۶L implants, followed by a uniform HA coating deposition through the ElectroPhoretic Deposition (EPD) technique. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted, including mechanical tests, biocompatibility studies, histological analysis, and radiographic evaluations, to assess implant properties, osseointegration, and inflammation management. Early results indicate promising outcomes for dental implant applications utilizing stainless steel ۳۱۶L with a HA coating. Stainless steel ۳۱۶L exhibits excellent mechanical properties, while the HA coating enhances bioactivity and osteoconductivity. The coated implants demonstrate improved osseointegration and a reduced risk of implant failure. Furthermore, the incorporation of HA shows potential for effective inflammation management due to its anti-inflammatory properties. This study shows the potential of dental implants fabricated with stainless steel ۳۱۶L and a HA coating. The synergistic effects of the material and coating hold promise for enhanced implant performance, improved osseointegration, and effective inflammation management. Further research and clinical studies are necessary to validate these findings and optimize the design and manufacturing processes for widespread implementation in dental implantology.
