In Situ Preparation of CeO۲/Bi۲WO۶ Nano Composite and Its Brilliant Catalytic Activity for Reduction of Dye Pollutants, Chromium (Vi), ۴-Nitrophenol and ۴-Nitroaniline

چکیده مقاله:

The CeO۲/Bi۲WO۶ nanocomposite was synthesized using sonochemical and hydrothermal methods. It was studied for its catalytic activity in reducing ۴-nitrophenol (۴-NP), ۴-nitroaniline (۴-NA), chromium (VI), rhodamine B(RhB) and Methylene Blue (MB) in aqueous solutions. Analytical techniques like Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), UV–Visible Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the nanocomposites. The CeO۲/Bi۲WO۶ ۱۰% composite showed the most effective results, achieving the complete reduction of ۴-nitrophenol in ۱۰ minutes. The nanocomposite also demonstrated impressive recyclability, indicating its potential for practical applications.
