چکیده مقاله:
In this study, Aluminum-Nickel particle-reinforced composite sheets were fabricated through the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) method, employing aluminum strips and nickel powder. The influence of ARB cycle count and the volumetric percentage of Ni particles on the microstructural evolution, wear resistance, and mechanical characteristics of the resulting composites was systematically examined. Results from tensile tests demonstrated that both yield strength and ultimate tensile strength exhibited an increasing trend with the number of ARB passes. A substantial reduction in ductility was observed after the first cycle, followed by a slight improvement in subsequent passes. Additionally, an increase in Ni content led to enhancements in both yield strength and tensile strength of the composites. Hardness and tribological performance were also evaluated, revealing that both microhardness and wear resistance improved with higher ARB cycles and greater Ni particle content.
