چکیده مقاله:
Background: Necrotizing fasciitis is a severe and rapidly progressive bacterial infection in soft tissues that without proper diagnosis and treatment, can lead to extensive tissue necrosis, sepsis, and death. Rapid surgical debridement is essential to reduce morbidity and mortality. In this case report, a ۱۰-year-old girl with no history of medicine and surgery after an accident and an injury in the left lower leg was diagnosed with a splinting, but due to continued fever, lack of improvement in pain, and development of erythema and swelling, she referred to the clinic. During the visit, he was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis. Methods: Due to limited movement, great pain and the possibility of sepsis, the abscess and infections were drained. The place is disinfected and with the referral and consultation of the infectious disease specialist, antibiotic therapy was started for the patient. ۳ sessions per week for ۲ months new dressings and LLLT were used for wound management. Results: After ۲ months, the symptoms of fasciitis improved and the redness and swelling of the site disappeared, the patient was able to walk normally, and the patient's pain was completely relieved. Conclusion: Necrotizing fasciitis in children is a rare and life-threatening condition that requires prompt diagnosis and immediate treatment. This case report highlights that timely diagnosis, along with aggressive surgical management and appropriate antibiotic therapy, can lead to positive outcomes and patient recovery. Clinical awareness of this disease and close monitoring of early symptoms in children are crucial to prevent rapid progression and severe complications.
