چکیده مقاله:

Chronic wounds, particularly associated with diabetes and obesity, present major healthcare challenges due to their rising prevalence and financial burden. These wounds are difficult to manage, often leading to infections and delayed healing. The COVID-۱۹ pandemic further strained wound care systems, highlighting the need for remote care solutions such as telemedicine. Meanwhile, the global market for scar treatments is expanding as innovative approaches in wound care continue to evolve. Artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative tool in wound care, offering promising applications in wound diagnosis, management, and prognosis. With the ability to recognize, classify, and detect infections in wounds, AI systems predict healing times with impressive accuracy. This technology, enhanced by mobile camera capabilities, enables remote diagnosis and monitoring, particularly in diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). The pandemic saw the rise of virtual wound clinics, supported by AI-based algorithms that ensure care continuity and improve outcomes.
