Evaluating the Role of Wearable Devices in the Remote Management of Wound Care and Healing Outcomes: A Systematic Review

Chronic wounds being one of the major health challenges, with numerous economic and social impacts, causing long-term chronic difficulties, require continuous and thorough management. Trauma intensive care has limitations in providing immediate and accurate monitoring of recovery. Wearable devices have been introduced as a new solution to facilitate healing chronic wounds. These devices are capable of real-time monitoring of biomarkers and provide detailed information on the state of injury and wound healing. The purpose of the study was to investigate the capabilities of these devices in providing remote monitoring and reducing the risk of further chronic injuries.
