Investigation of the Effect of Total Extract of Falcaria Vulgaris on Burn Wounds in Mice

Burn wounds are among the most common skin injuries, particularly in children. Burn injuries, especially severe ones, can lead to the failure of multiple organs and are associated with significant mortality. In addition to physical health, burn injuries also affect the mental health and quality of life of patients. In Iran, approximately ۷۲۵,۰۰۰ burn incidents are reported annually, with ۴۸,۰۰۰ of those cases requiring hospitalization. Although current treatments often lead to recovery, healing from burns remains a significant medical challenge. Continued research into new compounds and treatment methods is crucial in this field. The plant Falcaria vulgaris, commonly known as 'Gaze Yaghi,' is an annual plant from the Umbelliferae family, traditionally used in western Iran to treat skin wounds. In this project, we scientifically examined the effect of this plant on the treatment of burns.
