An Empirical Study of Mediating Role of Knowledge Management in the Impact of Intellectual Capital on Organizational Performance

Organizations' products and assets are generated based on information collected from their functional environment in the age of knowledge-based economics. Information management and intellectual capital are employed today to build organizational value from an operational standpoint, and managing these essential resources is critical to any organization's success.  The study demonstrates that intellectual capital, mediated by knowledge management strategies, significantly impacts organizational performance. Industry ۴.۰ tools enhance these effects, including blockchain, IoT, and digital innovation. Sensitivity analysis reveals that tacit knowledge significantly influences knowledge management, whereas explicit knowledge requires contextual adaptation for tangible outcomes. The research addresses a sample of ۳۹۱ respondents, yielding statistically validated results with an R² of ۰.۴۳ for organizational performance. This study highlights gaps and contributes to the literature by integrating emerging technologies into the conceptual model.
