چکیده مقاله:
This investigation looks at the factors that affect the adoption of NMB Mkononi in the Kongwa district of Dodoma, Tanzania. A cross-sectional design method was employed, utilizing a three-stage sampling technique to select ۱۵۴ participants systematically. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected through self-administered questionnaires and interviews. The Binary regression model was applied to elucidate the relationship between various factors and the adoption rate within the study area. The results showed that education level has a strong positive correlation (p<۰.۰۰۰) with the adoption of NMB Mkononi, evidenced by an odds ratio of ۶۲.۹۴. This is because participants with a high level of education could have higher exposure to technology and thought to adopt it easily. Similarly, customers with high income levels and good network access have shown a significant positive (p<۰.۰۰۳) relation toward adopting NMB Mkononi. Additionally, the findings indicated that younger users (ages between ۱۸ and ۳۵ years) are more likely to adopt the technology than older users. The study recommends that efforts to broaden the adoption base rendered by NMB Bank and policymakers should focus on enhancing technological features and addressing the various socioeconomic factors. The current study adds to and contributes to current literature on the understanding of the contribution of demographic variables (age, gender and education) on technological adoption in the context of less-developed countries like Tanzania
