چکیده مقاله:
Rapid urbanization and growing environmental concerns have intensified cities' need for sustainable resource management. This paper explores the transformative role of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and smart infrastructure systems in optimizing urban resource consumption and reducing energy losses. Key focus areas include energy management through smart grids, efficient building operations via intelligent systems, and enhancing urban utilities such as water, waste, and transportation networks. The study highlights the potential of these technologies to minimize resource wastage, integrate renewable energy sources, and enhance urban mobility while addressing environmental challenges like air pollution and urban heat islands. Successful case studies from global cities are examined to demonstrate real-world applications and benefits. However, challenges such as data privacy, high implementation costs, infrastructure limitations, and equity concerns are identified as critical barriers to widespread adoption. This research provides valuable insights for urban planners, policymakers, technology developers, and environmental organizations aiming to advance sustainable urban development. By offering a comprehensive analysis of opportunities, limitations, and actionable strategies, this study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on smart, resilient, and sustainable cities and serves as a guide for future innovations in urban resource management.
