Biosynthesis of Cu nanoparticles using the pistachio leaf extract

Biological synthesis of metallic nanoparticles is a novel area of nano biotechnology researches that it develops new Nano-sized materials for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. This study confirms the ability of pistachio leaf extract for biosynthesis of Cu NPs. Prominent FTIR peaks were obtained corresponding to phenolic compound, alcohol and carboxylic acids which involved in reduction and coating of Cu NPs. XRD spectrum measurement confirmed that the Cu NPs are amorphous in nature. The most of the synthesized Cu NPs had spherical morphology and the size of them was about ۲۵ nm, as authenticated by FESEM.
