Investigating the Effects of Total Quality Management on the Performance of the Automotive Industry with the Role of Green Manufacturing Practices (Case Study: Iran Khodro Khorasan Company)

In this study, the effects of total quality management (TQM) on the performance of the automotive industry and the mediating role of green manufacturing practices have been investigated. The principles and basics of green manufacturing practices have an effective role in the sustainable development of the TQM process. With this approach, issues such as improving system productivity, reducing costs, reducing energy consumption, increasing process agility in various fields and finally optimizing the process structure are achieved. The statistical population of this study includes ۴۰۰ managers and experts working in Iran Khodro Khorasan Company. In this study, in order to investigate and test the variables affecting the research topic, common standard questionnaires have been used. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaires was obtained by Cronbach's alpha method for all questionnaires more than ۰.۷, which indicates the appropriate convergence and reliability of the results. Also, the validity of the questionnaires has been confirmed by construct validity method (confirmatory factor analysis). The results of this study showed that TQM with the mediating role of green manufacturing practices is the source of a paradigm shift from the culture of reaction to an activity with an emphasis on the importance of customer retention. This issue leads to the development of culture, participation, and empowerment of each and every employee of the organization at different levels and levels. Also, this issue is the path and roadmap to achieve sustainable development and excellence of the organization in all fields.
