چکیده مقاله:

In the digital world, individual and collective identities are formed in a complex manner, with online interactions playing a significant role in this process. Each user creates a unique identity by establishing personal profiles, choosing their content, images, and opinions, which not only reflect their individual characteristics but are also influenced by social and cultural factors. These identities, particularly through interactions and group communications on social networks and various platforms, contribute to the formation of collective identities. By joining virtual groups and communities, individuals experience a sense of belonging to a larger whole, which can impact the strengthening or weakening of their personal identity. On the other hand, these digital identities can significantly alter social relationships. While online communications present new opportunities for forming friendships and exchanging ideas, they may also lead to emotional distances. Individuals can easily hide behind various masks in the virtual world, which can result in misunderstandings and a lack of honesty in interpersonal relationships. Additionally, the negative effects stemming from social comparison and the pressure to showcase ideal lives can affect users' mental health, while also contributing to feelings of isolation and despair. Consequently, analyzing digital identities and their impact on social relationships is essential to better understand the challenges and opportunities arising from these transformations.
