Some Components of the Way of Appropriate Behavior with a Wife in Prophetic Teachings

Family, as the most fundamental foundation of human society, is effective in the formation of individual ethics and character. The health and dynamism of society depend on the health and stability of the family, and the behavior of family members strengthens this sacred institution; therefore, one of the factors that affect the strength of the family is the appropriate behavior of family members, especially the behavior of spouses with each other. Since the religion of Islam has a plan for all areas of life, then one can get the way of treating one's wife from religious sources and the life of the Holy Prophet of Islam and Ahl al-Bayt (AS). This research, through the descriptive method and by referring to the authentic narrative books that explain the life of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), attempts to investigate 'the way of appropriate behavior with a wife in prophetic teachings' by using narrative evidence in the words of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his lifestyle. In the end, it has been concluded that we can have appropriate behavior with wives by showing attention and interest to them, paying attention to cleanliness and grooming, having a good smell, calling them by a beautiful name, helping with housework, paying attention to the mental and psychological security of the spouse, and cheerfulness and remembering the good deeds of them.
