چکیده مقاله:
Having a child with an intellectual disability cannot hide facts such as the effects of social isolation on the family, especially for mothers with a child with an intellectual disability such as Down syndrome. The present research was conducted in order to investigate the effect of Prophetic teachings on the self-esteem level of mothers with mentally disabled children with Down syndrome. A number of ۲۴ mothers with Down syndrome children were selected based on the research criteria and randomly placed in two experimental and control groups. The experimental group went through a ۱۲-week program, while the control group was not exposed to any independent variable. Both groups were measured before, after, and one month after the end of the treatment by the Rogers test. The results showed that in line with the research hypothesis, after the end of the treatment, the self-esteem level of the research group was significantly different from the control group. Also, the average self-esteem of the research group increased significantly after the implementation of the independent variable compared to before implementation. The result of this research shows that the endless sea of prophetic knowledge is like a lantern, a perfect guide for tolerance and patience, and self-esteem.
