چکیده مقاله:
The presence of minorities and their activities in different countries of the world have always been challenging topics in the political and social fields. This issue has not yet received the attention of international institutions as a global issue, as it ought to be, and an independent organization has not been established to organize and defend the rights and freedom of minorities in the world. The few efforts made in this field have been mainly aimed at political and media exploitation from it. In spite of that, special attention was paid to the status and rights of minorities in the tradition and teachings of the Prophet, and in the very first days of the Prophet's placement in Medina, comprehensive laws were formulated on the relations between the People of the Book and Muslims, which can still be the reference point for today's statesmen. The peace-seeking attitude of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was not only for the sake of caution in that period of time, but it was an undeniable fact that shows the spirit of tolerance in dealing with the people of the book in the authentic Islamic and prophetic teachings. Because of the special respect Islam has for the Prophet, it respects his true followers as well. In this regard, the practical life of the Prophet and his rightful successors is also a confirmation of the claim. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the same procedure was noticed by the officials of the system and respect for the people of the book in the form of their participation in various political arenas and decision-making institutions of the society has been implemented. Based on this issue, we are trying to investigate the status of minorities in Iran after the Islamic Revolution by looking at the Prophet's tradition and using the descriptive-analytical method, and relying on library sources. The findings of the present research show that despite the large amount of negative propaganda in the Western media, the position of minorities (Messiahs, Jews, and Zoroastrians) in Iran after the Islamic Revolution has been strengthened and received more attention than ever before, and the security and peace of this group and attention to their rights has been observed.
