چکیده مقاله:
With the entry of Western thought into the Islamic world, the role of women in facing new social structures was questioned. Therefore, Muslim thinkers faced various theoretical and practical challenges. The most important challenge arising from Western traditions was the agency of women in the social structure and the limitations resulting from it. As the father of neo-Salafism, Abul A'la Maududi emphasized returning to the prophetic traditions and the principles of revelation in relation to the formation of a family and considered it the most fundamental reason for the creation of civilization. He emphasized the role of women in social structure and civilization. But his ideas were transformed according to the social structure of India and Pakistan. Therefore, it is very interesting to study the evolution of Maududi's thoughts about women. Based on this, the question of the research is, what was Maududi's approach to the role of women in the foundation of revelation civilization based on prophetic teachings? This article, with the method of historical analysis and description and based on the collection of library data, has the claim that before the formation of Pakistan, Maududi considered women's agency limited in the family structure; but after entering the field of politics and encountering opposing and emerging ideas, he accepted the performance of women in the society as an act in accordance with the prophetic teaching.
