چکیده مقاله:

The issue of 'Sahw al-Nabi' is of great importance due to its close connection with the issue of infallibility in Islamic theology; in the sense that considering the direct connection of this issue with the extent and scope of the infallibility of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), believing it or not, has an impact on the knowledge of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Imam (AS) and their position. People like Sadouq and his teacher Ibn Walid prominently raised the issue of 'Sahw al-Nabi'. According to them, the mistake of the Prophet of Islam - PBUH - does not contradict his infallibility. Based on this, Sadouq was trying to remove the suspicion of being superhuman from the innocent. On the other hand, Mofid and Majlisi, while rejecting this opinion, widened the realm of infallibility for the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Imams (PBUH). From their point of view, the infallibility of the Prophets (PBUH) and imams (PBUH) is not only limited to the realm of preaching the religion, but also includes the rules and duties of Sharia. Therefore, the prophets and imams are free from mistakes, errors, and forgetfulness in the matter of religion and also in the Sharia duties.
