چکیده مقاله:

The aim of the research is to investigate the place of avoiding lies and the role of honesty and truth in the educational health of the society from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha. Research method: It is a review and document and library study. Findings of the research: From the perspective of Imam Ali (AS), the happiness of the individual and the society is achieved only through honesty and truthfulness, and the salvation of mankind depends on the order of all affairs based on honesty. From the point of view of Imam Ali (AS), truth and honesty are the most important principles of the constitution of human life and the happiness of human society. From the point of view of Hazrat Ali (AS), when lies, deception, hypocrisy, and deceit occur, the foundation and basis of all kinds of corruption and destruction in the society is formed and it continues and develops, and when honesty and truthfulness spread in the society, it brings happiness. Imam Ali (AS) after the people pledged allegiance to him and at the very beginning of his leadership, in his first sermon to the people, introduced honesty, truth, and truthfulness as the charter of his rule and emphasized it. In the words of Imam Ali (AS), truth is considered the key to salvation, the source of prosperity and salvation, the secret of human insight and the cause of growth and dynamism, and the foundation of unseen aid, and the perfection and glory of man is in truth. In the important teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha, truthfulness in speech, behavior, and actions is of great importance so that no other word can be replaced with this word. Finally, for honesty and truthfulness, different functions have been stated in Nahj al-Balagha, among which we can mention the correction of actions by God, the benefit of the hereafter, obedience and submission to God and the religion of Islam, divine honor, salvation in the afterlife, spiritual growth, and divine forgiveness.
