چکیده مقاله:

One of the most beautiful and thoughtful initiatives of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at the beginning of the formation of the Islamic society is creating an identity called the mosque. Achieving the modern civilization of Islam and the spiritual and material upliftment of society based on the teachings of pure Islam will not be possible without the path of the mosque, relying on its functions and great capacities. The mosque is considered one of the most important institutions of Islamic society with a comprehensive and multi-purpose function and has always played a fundamental and central role in the Islamic civilization and the progress of the society throughout the history of Islam. At the beginning of Islam, the first step of the Prophet (PBUH) to establish the foundation of the Islamic government in Medina was to build a mosque, and until the time of the Innocents, it has been a place for worship, political and cultural gatherings, and the best place for learning Qur'an and the rules of Islam and unraveling the problems of the people. The mosque acquires its identity and central position in the Islamic civilization and society from its characteristic that it is the base of divine imamate and the source of the relationship between the Islamic leadership and the Ummah. Based on the findings of this article, which is written in a descriptive and analytical method, we are trying to review the functions of the mosque and its civilizational role in prophetic life, which is possible in the shadow of government jurisprudence.
