چکیده مقاله:

In the current era, which is called the era of communication and information due to the process of globalization, and the theory of the global village has overshadowed all competing theories, the importance and necessity of dialogue between different religions and their coexistence has doubled. The subject that has been analyzed and investigated in this article is the question of what is the position of the principle of human dignity in the interfaith discourse and whether is it possible to conclude world peace and religious coexistence from this principle? In order to answer this question and relying on the religious foundations and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), this hypothesis has been proposed that the principle of human dignity is one of the most important foundations in the relations between religions and religious dialogues, the result of which is world peace and peaceful religious coexistence. The issue of human dignity and religious peace and coexistence is important in today's modern world, religions in general and divine religions in particular, on the one hand, are facing attacks and dangers that do not target a specific religion, but target the essence of religion and religious spirituality. On the other hand, religions that claim the mission of guiding and saving mankind must find a solution for the problems and disorders that mankind is facing today, especially in the moral, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. The contemporary era has always witnessed extreme and religious fanaticism, which is another problem for religions. Of course, this is not a special issue today and has a historical background, but prejudices and violence have intensified today, and especially with the emergence of takfiri and extremist currents in the realm of religions, an exclusive, violent, and irrational image of religion has been presented, which is one of the challenges facing world peace and coexistence. The current research is based on the fact that if we want to achieve fundamental changes in the matter of religion and ethics in this period of history when we are faced with religious violence and ideological conflicts between believers of different religions, we must be able to create a peaceful moral society where genuine interaction and dialogue is possible; and because authentic religious dialogue requires respect for others, and respect for others is a matter of moral stance and moral philosophy (Runzo, ۱۹۹۲: xxxx).
