Today, we are witnessing an unprecedented increase in energy consumption around the world. Population growth, industrial development, and increasing dependence on energy have led to the increased use of energy resources. This growing trend, in addition to creating serious environmental challenges, also brings with it huge economic costs, making the need to optimize energy consumption an unavoidable necessity. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) offers a transformative approach to optimizing energy consumption in smart buildings. This paper examines the application of AI and IoT technologies in the development of intelligent systems that increase energy efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainability. Using multi-agent systems, each IoT-enabled device in a building can independently identify its energy consumption patterns and participate in collective decision-making processes that optimize energy consumption. This paper also examines the use of machine learning algorithms that can predict and control energy consumption with high accuracy. These algorithms are integrated into building energy management systems (BEMS) to provide real-time monitoring, automated energy consumption decisions, and maintain occupant comfort. This paper discusses the challenges of deploying AI and IoT in the energy sector and emphasizes the potential for further optimization through the integration of advanced AI techniques. And it plays an important role in creating more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.
