چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most prevalent and deadly cancers and the most common life-threatening cancer in women. BC imposes health, economic, and emotional damage on societies and healthcare systems annually. This deadly cancer faces many diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. With the spread of new technologies to the medical field, the use of biotechnology tools has been promising for many conditions. The application of nanobiotechnology, which has two arms of nanotechnology and biological sciences, has been investigated in the treatment and diagnosis of BC, like other cancers. The use of various nanoparticles, whether polymeric, metallic, and/ or other ones, in order to upgrade the precision of conventional and innovative therapies has clearly had an upward trend in recent decades. Nanobiotechnology, as a nascent phenomenon in the BC treatment era, has shown great potential in improving diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. However, it needs to be optimized with extensive basic and applied research to ultimately lead to better health outcomes and quality of life for BC patients. The present study has attempted to provide a comprehensive picture of the status of nanobiotechnology use in BC treatment.
