چکیده مقاله:

Stress resulting from group Quran recitation, especially among female first-year secondary school students, is considered one of the significant challenges in the educational process of non-profit schools. This research, aimed at reducing perceived stress in students during Quran recitation, was conducted using a mixed (qualitative and quantitative) method. The statistical population consisted of ۲۸ female students from non-profit schools in Mashhad, who were selected through convenience sampling. Data collection tools: Quantitative data were collected through the Cohen Standard Stress Questionnaire, and qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Quantitative results showed that the mean stress score decreased from ۳.۸ to ۲.۳ (p < ۰.۰۰۱). In the qualitative section, thematic analysis showed that participants experienced improvement in stress management skills and increased self-confidence. These combined results indicate that the main stressors include fear of making mistakes, worry about peer judgment, ridicule, parental pressure, and teacher evaluation. To reduce stress, strategies such as creating a relaxing environment, eliminating direct error correction, using participatory and innovative teaching methods, strengthening emotional support, stress management training, and informing parents were used. Data analysis indicated the positive effect of these strategies on reducing students' stress and improving their performance in Quran recitation. The results of this research emphasize the importance of designing appropriate educational programs and using new teaching methods to reduce stress and improve learning in students.
