چکیده مقاله:

This article examines the health risks faced by firefighters who often work in hazardous environments, particularly concerning their exposure to nanoparticles. They may inhale dust and particulate matter linked to respiratory and systemic health issues as part of their responsibilities. The research emphasizes the significant impact of nanoscale aerosols, especially those generated by industrial and urban activities, on respiratory health problems. While the body of research regarding the toxicity of nanoparticles is growing, current risk assessments for inhaled nanoparticles from sources such as laser printers and photocopiers remain inadequate due to a lack of comprehensive data. Previous studies have inaccurately suggested that emissions from these sources exhibit toxicological responses similar to those of carbon black or urban soot particles, potentially leading to misleading safety perceptions.
