چکیده مقاله:
With the rapid growth in vehicle production and increased traffic on urban and intercity roads, the need for safe and reliable transportation infrastructure has become more pronounced. This necessity underscores the importance of utilizing up-to-date knowledge throughout all stages of road construction, from design to execution. In countries rich in oil resources, flexible pavements, primarily asphalt, have been predominantly used. However, asphalt pavements have several drawbacks, including insufficient resistance to severe thermal cycles common in desert roads, leading to cracking, deformation, and surface irregularities. In recent years, the focus has shifted towards using concrete pavements, particularly Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC), as a more durable and cost-effective alternative. RCC offers numerous advantages, including high durability, low maintenance costs, and environmental compatibility, making it suitable for large-scale construction projects. By optimizing design and construction processes, RCC pavements can significantly reduce maintenance costs over several decades. Adopting sustainable approaches in construction, with an emphasis on long-term efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, has become increasingly important in the development of modern infrastructure.
