چکیده مقاله:

The structure of the world market and the structure of Iran's export market have become more competitive in this period and despite the reduction of the advantage, Iranian dates still have the ability to compete in the world market. Therefore, research on how to improve industrial competition and promote high-quality development of the date industry in the date-growing provinces of our country is of great importance. Almas Porter's model has been chosen to examine the current state of competitiveness of the date industry from the aspects of internal factors, demand conditions, related industries and supporting industries, strategy, structure and competition, unforeseen cases and the government. The date industry ranks second in the world after Egypt in terms of having a relative advantage in date production. It also has unique location conditions, broad market outlook, diverse development strategies and opportunities. However, there are still many shortcomings, such as the lack of an interregional big data platform. In addition, it faces the problems of insufficient labor force, insufficient support for transformation and processing industries, conducting accurate scientific studies in the field of determining the losses of different numbers of dates, bulk exports or in large packages of dates. Therefore, the government should create a big data analysis platform at three levels, increase mechanization, expand regional communication and cooperation considering that most of our exports are with neighboring countries, and also focus on branding. Iranian dates and the obligation of exporters to comply with it should be monitored in order to prevent the re-issuance of Iranian dates by other importing countries.
