چکیده مقاله:

Permeability, although rooted in the culture of Western design and has been globalized, has many meanings and implications beyond its specific characteristics. In the context of urban design, it is more than just a physical and structural concept and goes beyond the mere physical boundaries. Many urban spaces and neighborhoods lack a good cultural and structural foundation and do not have a specific meaning in the realm of urban life. The main goal of this research is to examine the effects of Iranian historical and contemporary urban spaces on the concept of permeability. The research aims to investigate the historical and social characteristics of permeability in Iranian urban spaces. By analyzing the urban spaces and their unique characteristics, the research seeks to understand the role of permeability in Iranian urban contexts. The results indicate that permeability in Iranian urban spaces is different and has social and spiritual dimensions influenced by social contexts. This research aims to explain the characteristics that strengthen permeable urban spaces and provide suggestions for improving Iranian urban spaces.
